“Art Sailing Guangzhou – Creative Voyage” Mainland Internship Programme for Hong Kong University Students 2024-25

The Art Sailing Internship Programme for Hong Kong University Students is organised by Art Sailing Culture Association in collaboration with Saint Francis University, Lingnan University and Jinan University, and funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau. Open to full-time university students aged 18 to 30 holding a Hong Kong identity card, it offers valuable internship placements in Guangzhou, Wuhan and Zhuhai. The organiser handles screening, interviews and placement, matching participants to suitable corporate roles according to their background and interests.
Participating enterprises and institutions included Tencent, Alibaba, NetEase, China Unicom, China Southern Power Grid, People’s Daily, GAC Group, the Energy Development Research Institute of China Southern Power Grid, Alpha Group, Guangdong Radio and Television, Southern Daily, Guangzhou Daily, Yuexiu Group, Guangdong Holdings, Guangzhou Radio Group, Liby Group, Youdao and 4399 Games.
Beyond the internships, the Association arranged a number of social practice activities around Guangzhou, taking students deep into the city’s innovative DNA and technological strength. The itinerary included a visit to Pony.ai to learn about the commercialisation of autonomous driving technology; a trip to Zhongke Aerospace to experience breakthroughs in the commercial space sector; visits to representative Guangzhou unicorn companies to hear founding stories and understand how emerging industries rise; and exchange with faculty and students at HKUST (Guangzhou) to share learning and career development experience. Through this series of visits and conversations, students not only accumulated workplace experience but also gained a deeper understanding of industrial upgrading and the technology frontier in the Greater Bay Area, building valuable perspective and connections for their future.
