The Art Sailing Internship Programme for Hong Kong University Students is organised by Art Sailing Culture Association in collaboration with Saint Francis University, Lingnan University and Jinan University, and funded by the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau. Open to full-time university students aged 18 to 30 holding a Hong Kong identity card, it offers valuable internship placements in Guangzhou, Wuhan and Zhuhai. The organiser handles screening, interviews and placement, matching participants to suitable corporate roles according to their background and interests.
Placement organisations included China Telecom Wuhan Branch, Wuhan Gas Group, the Hubei Provincial Museum, CYTS Hubei International Travel Service, Hubei Weili Law Firm, Hubei Yuzhi Law Firm, Wuhan Fangrui Accounting Firm, Huijiada Technology Co., Wuhan Jiuchuang Supply Chain Management Co. and Century Lianfa (Wuhan) Technology Development Co., among others.
During the internship the Association arranged a series of social practice activities, allowing students to build workplace experience while fully experiencing Wuhan’s urban character and cultural depth. These included a visit to the Zhouheiya factory to experience the braising process first-hand and appreciate the innovative energy of a home-grown brand; a climb up Yellow Crane Tower to take in sweeping views over the city and a thousand years of history; a visit to the Xinhai Revolution Museum tracing the upheavals of modern China and deepening a sense of national belonging; and a walk through the Donghu Tingtao Scenic Area to relax amid lakes and hills and appreciate the harmony between nature and the city. Through these diverse hands-on experiences, students broadened their horizons, gained a deeper understanding of the nation’s development and cultural foundations, and truly immersed themselves in this vibrant city.
